According to the finnish online magazine Iltalehti Him are back in action… or as keyboardist Burton tweets, they are “back to the old drawing board”.

In this article, HIM’s manager says that the band is working on new songs and rehearsals will last well into autumn. The new album will probably be released in 2012. Regarding the new record label, Seppo states that they have not yet made a final decision.

The article also mentions that HIM may be seen as early as New Years Eve at Tavastia Club. Seppo says there is still no confirmations regarding the bands appearance at Helldone.

“It’s sad but true. Few bands can dive headfirst into heartache and come out of it sounding evil. HIM wield that unsavory, ungodly and undeniable power. Yes, it’s the time honored tradition of being heavy enough for the boys in the crowd and heart-y enough for the girls, yet no one really possesses that dynamic anymore. HIM bubbles over with it—right down to their Heartagram logo.(…)”

HIM dazzles a sold out Wiltern last night and ARTISTdirect.com editor and Dolor author Rick Florino captures it all in this exclusive review

Question: Musically Screamworks is the most cheerful HIM ever, but the lyrics are once again filled with despair. How did that happen?

13 Calling Cards for Valentines Day

Translation by silverblue6 @ Valo Daily

After their expansive album “Venus Doom” released 2 years ago HIM now turn to a completely different path with “Screamworks ….” The new 13 songs are short and precise but packed with ideas. The songs are very catchy over long passages but have enough twists and turns to make sure not to show the whole picture at once when you listen to them for the first time.
